We  are  reaching  out to help our neighbors in TN and NC affected by Hurricane Helena.  

How Can I Help?



Listed below are several opportunities for us to help our friends in need after the devastating flooding in TN and NC.

1 - Knox County Mayor Glenn Jacobs has asked us to participate in a  canned food / bottled water drive for the people of Cocke County. Please take any donations to Knoxville Wholesale Furniture Clearance Center (7428 Kingston Pike) on Saturday October 5th from 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM. This ministry is being coordinated with Mission of Hope. If you prefer to make a monetary donation, please mark your donation as "Disaster Relief."  

2 - Callahan Road Baptist Church is partnering with KPD FAITH AND BLUE to collect, water, hygiene items (male and female) and canned food.  Collection Date with be October 11th beginning at 9:00am.

3 - You can deliver any items (cleaning supplies, water, non-perishable items, etc.) to Memorial Baptist Church in Newport, TN.  To set up a delivery please contact Michael Johnson at 423-721-6453.

Water Collection:
Mayor’s office:  Engineering and Public Works (205 West Baxter Avenue, 37917, 865-215-5800) and First Utility District (122 Durwood Road, 37922) collecting now- 4pm on Friday, October 3rd. (more details attached)

Knoxville Fellows:  Water collection for Greeneville, TN. Collection point, downtown on Market Square.

Knoxville Dream Center:  Sending Water Tanks to Newport

Sevier Heights Baptist Church:  Cases of bottled water to Newport and Greeneville

Food collection/Baby Items/Cleaning Supplies:
Clear Springs Baptist Church:  Drop off location at Clear Springs Baptist Church at 7350 Tazewell Pike, Corryton, 37721

Faith Promise Church: Collecting Diapers and Formula sent to Elizabethton and supplies to go to Newport
 
Repairs:
Faith Promise Church:  Accepting volunteer signups for damaged infrastructure and roads repair
 
Hygiene needs:
Knoxville Dream Center:  Shower Trailer and Portable Toilets

We  have  already sent pallets of water, brooms, rakes, shovels and mops to Cocke County!  If you would like to donate money, use the link below and we will continue purchasing items to send directly to Memorial Baptist Church in Newport.
